Tim has been directing professionally since 2001. He began at York Theatre Royal under the directorship of Damien Cruden directing the first YTR studio season of Happy Jack, the Live Bed Show and Disco Pigs and has since worked for many regional and London theatres as well as having been associate director at the New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich; Artistic director of Libra Theatre Company, Cambridge (working with actors with disabilities) and three years as Resident Director and acting Literary Manager for Producer Bill Kenwright. There he worked on the West End and touring productions of Blood Brothers, Evita, The Pitman Painters and Twelve Angry Men to name but a few. As well as developing his freelance directing work, in 2002 he began his directing association with Rufus Norris on the Young Vic production of Sleeping Beauty. His work with Rufus has included subsequent productions of Sleeping Beauty in New York and London, West End national tours of TinTin and The Country Girl as well as the groundbreaking London Road at the RNT and the revival of the Olivier award winning Cabaret with Will Young and Louise Redknapp.
More recently, Tim has been associate director on the UK tours of Shawshank Redemption and Boys from the Blackstuff
